National Champion Seaweed Fertilizer: Corn Yield Boosted by 38%+ in Indonesia!

Jan 21 , 2026

Trial Background

This trial was designed and implemented by the Faculty of Agriculture at General Soedirman University (Unsoed) in Indonesia. Founded in 1963 and named in honor of a national hero, Unsoed is a top-tier national university in Indonesia, holding a leading position nationwide in the fields of sustainable agriculture and life sciences, with remarkable achievements particularly in eco-friendly farming and crop nutrition research.

The fertilizer evaluated in this trial is Seafun, a product of our company. Its core advantages are as follows:

Seafun Sweet Corn Field Trial Design

A scientific fertilization scheme was adopted throughout the trial, with fertilizers applied in 3 splits, each accounting for 1/3 of the total dosage. The specific fertilization schedule is detailed below:

1st Application: On the sowing day (basal application)

2nd Application: On the 21st day after sowing (topdressing)

3rd Application: On the 35th day after sowing (topdressing)

Effects of Seafun on Growth Indicators of Sweet Corn

As shown in the above figures and table, the application of Seafun high-efficiency fertilizer resulted in taller sweet corn plants, a greater number of leaves, dark green foliage, and significantly increased plant dry weight. All growth indicator data were substantially superior to those of Control Treatment A and Standard Treatment B, demonstrating excellent crop nutrient enhancement effects.

Compared with Standard Treatment B, the Seafun treatment groups showed an increase of 3.8%–6.7% in plant height, 17.1%–22.0% in leaf count, 23.1%–27.1% in leaf color index, and 4.5%–9.5% in plant dry weight. The growth-promoting effect was significant, laying a solid foundation for subsequent high yields.

Effects of Seafun on Yield and Economic Benefits of Sweet Corn

As shown in the above figures and tables, Seafun can effectively promote the ear growth of sweet corn, resulting in longer, thicker, and heavier ears, along with higher yields and greater economic benefits. All indicators were significantly higher than those of Control Treatment A and Standard Treatment B.

Compared with Standard Treatment B, the Seafun treatment groups increased yield by 38.0%–66.3%, raised farm income by 16,405,000–28,645,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), and improved the cost-benefit (R/C) ratio by 0.43–0.74, exhibiting a remarkable yield-increasing and income-enhancing effect in agricultural production.
